Cosa succede quando due creativi si incontrano in un bar?
Per la precisione quando Pamela , stilista di moda che ama il vintage, l’artigianato di qualità, le scarpe, l’arte, la fotografia e il design, incontra Luigi , art director pubblicitario che ama il calcio, nella fattispecie l’Inter, il design, la fotografia e soprattutto si nutre di cinema???
Insomma cosa succede quando un animo cocciuto e un po’ rompiballe incontra un animo easy?
Nasce Mbè? Design : “Mbè è un suono, una sensazione, uno stile di vita. Mbè è l’approccio disimpegnato ad una realtà frenetica che ci confonde. Mbè è la domanda che ci poniamo per capire chi siamo; la risposta è la nostra affermazione di stile.”
Così nasce Mbè? Design, dall’esigenza di creare un contenitore che racchiuda in sè tutti gli interessi e le passioni di entrambi: la moda, l’ artigianato, la comunicazione, il design, photography and all that motivates them spontaneously creative. Without borders, supporting ideas and accepting the contamination and the experience which brings to one's world.

• Who hides behind the brand since mbe? design?
P: Behind MBE? Design hiding two creative minds share their ideas before they share the dream of a house together and all know that true love might. Mbe? Design was officially a year ago and since then it's almost like having a child to be raised thanks to all our love and our passion.
L: say who was hiding, now everyone will know who is the clown of the pair awkwardly in practice. Seriously, let
only a note. I think it is Who, but What is behind mbe? design. I say this because in reality, there are people behind each brand. Here we are containers of emotions, joys, tears and passion. Behind the brand is hidden love. Love of design, for the good things and what we are when we are neighbors.

• How did you choose this nice and original name for your brand?
P: One evening on the phone as we both gave vent our frustrations, we noticed that in our daily conversation recurred very often the word Mbe ', which is a typical Roman interlayer. We have reflected well on the word and its meaning: we liked the sound, the fact that it was a question and hidden in its meaning a movement of freedom, something of a challenge to the world. We enjoyed it to be so saucy. We have now combined alla parola Design che racchiude un po’ tutte le nostre passioni.
L: mbè? figo no?
• Accessori e interior design sembrano essere le parole chiavi quando si parla di mbè? design?
P: Sì per il momento...chissà che prima o poi non diventi anche una linea di abbigliamento...nascendo io come fashion designer...
L: Ad oggi credo siamo ancora in una fase in cui sperimentiamo diversi campi. Domani chissà...spero di non impigrirmi in un settore in particolare.
• Raccontateci un pò del processo creativo.
P: Essendo due menti creative che vendono da due settori diversi, io, Pamela dalla moda, e Luigi dalla pubblicità e dal design, spesso gli input vendono da fonti molto diverse. Il bello è che entrambi usciamo dai nostri settori per esplorare quello dell'altro. Ad esempio Luigi ha ideato qualche mese fa una bellissima borsa pur non essendo uno stilista. Quello che facciamo è condividere appena possibile l'idea avuta, la discutiamo per capire come realizzarla e poi buttiamo giù disegni o cartamodelli per capire la fattibilità. Alla fine realizziamo il prototipo e decidiamo se produrre. Quando invece si tratta di lavori artigianali cerchiamo semplicemente di fare quello che ci riesce meglio...
L: The creative process begins and ends in the eyes belly. I guess one thing and another, while the belly gives its approval or its rejection.

• What are your points of reference in the design world?
P: We love selective for the furnishings, sofas for Moroso, we like to look for artisan on Etsy design, we appreciate the efforts of small manufacturing enterprises that are doing their job with passion and great ideas, out of the circuit design.
L: A beyond belief very well known brand in crafts. I believe that the best things come from the "lower levels" ... who tries to emerge from those who still want to risk it.
• The project to which you are more connected and why?
P: Right now the project to which we are more tied-shirt bags, because we managed to make an object completely different thing. There è piaciuto ribaltare la percezione di un'oggetto e poi abbiamo scoperto che la camicia è come il "maiale": Con il davanti facciamo un modello di borsa, con il dietro un altro modello, e con le maniche delle bellissime sciarpe, che presto metteremo on line.
L: "Hanger o mirror?", è una stampella specchiata che funge sia da appendi abiti che da specchio, ed è sagomata a formare il messaggio "In Love We Dress"...
Credo sia il progetto a cui sono maggiormente legato perché ad oggi sta vivendo a NY ...ed è la nostra prima produzione che esce dall'Italia.
